Research Interests

My research is directed at understanding the molecular and biochemical basis of certain complex human diseases, such as pseudoexfoliation syndrome/glaucoma, multiple sclerosis and ischemic stroke. This effort is also given so as to find new potential biomarkers for the early detection of these disorders. Specifically we are interested with genetic polymorphisms, personalized medicine and pharmacogenetics.

I’m also interested with the biological effects of endodontic biomaterials, their biocompatibility and bioactivities using both in vivo and in vitro tools.
